Baxi Saves Homeowner 59% on Heat Bill

A Chittenden County homeowner with a penchant for record keeping has documented savings of 58.8% on his heating bills, following an energy conservation upgrade at his home.

The Jericho homeowner installed natural gas, a Baxi boiler, and new insulation.  The combination of all three reduced his bill substantially.

Blodgett President Sam Levin said, "We normally predict energy savings of 30% with a new Baxi and no other upgrades, but this case demonstrates just what can be done with a total review of a household's energy usage."  He recommends that consumers contact Blodgett and request names of contractors who can evaluate potential savings.

"We're in a sweet spot right now", Levin says.  "New efficient equipment, substantial rebates available, and qualified contractors who actually have time to do the work.  Fuel prices may be relatively low right now, but noone believes that will last long, so an investment now will pay dividends for years."
